Malaysia has advanced eight positions to rank 15th in the 2026 IMD World Competitiveness Ranking, according to Sin Chew Daily.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the latest result is a sign that government reforms and efforts to improve execution are moving in the right direction.
He added that political stability and investor confidence have helped strengthen Malaysia competitiveness on the global stage.
The improved ranking offers a confidence boost for the country, but the next challenge is to ensure that stronger competitiveness leads to tangible benefits for businesses and citizens.
